Dear family and friends
Everyone is back home tonight. Given Grayson's fundamental condition, when he goes to the hospital, he needs to bring along a caregiver. Regina was that caregiver for the 30 hours they were in the hospital. He was discharged at 3:30 this afternoon and the two of them came home. The source of the bleeding was determined to be treatable, and we will monitor to see if it reoccurs.
Austin and Xixi came by this evening before I arrived home from work. According to Regina, it was so wonderful to have adult children talk about how they want to come by and help with Grayson. Regina was moved by the offer of help by people that truly know Grayson. What a blessing in our lives! I know that others of you are wondering how you might help and at this point we are trying to determine how to accept it. As we spend the next week or two determining his needs, we will create a training program and resources so that we might start enabling "help"!
Tonight everyone is showered and in their own beds – truly one of life's greatest pleasures!
Pax!
Brant
Hi Brant and Regina:
ReplyDeleteTo follow how you are adjusting to this new routine is encouraging and moving. We are too far away to offer any "hands on" help, but if there is any other way we can be of assistance, please let us know.
In Him,
Doug
Oh, Doug. Your frequent comments of support, insight and constant prayers are the most valuable kind of help there is. There will be plenty of hands.
ReplyDeleteLoving you and Him.
