Day 299 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

Grayson arrived at our home today thanks to two wonderful folks at CNS – his occupational therapist and his primary RA. Grayson led them on a tour of the house and we had a wonderful visit. As part of the discharge planning, the staff comes by to assess the readiness of the caregivers (us) and the facility (our home) to care for someone in Grayson's challenged condition. We were also given some very practical advice on caring for him and continuing the superior daily therapy he has been receiving. It was a wonderful bonus to have him "delivered" to us as that saved us the 200 mile round trip to bring Grayson home.

This afternoon Grayson and Regina went grocery shopping for the weekend. After we prepared dinner together we watched Marmaduke – the first time for us, but the third time for Grayson. It was a great family movie night!

Grayson stayed up extra late – 9:30 tonight! Tomorrow we'll be up and off to the farmers market in the morning to finish shopping for game food (USC vs. Virginia). I love the college football season and tonight we have another Trojan home!

Pax!
