Day 724 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

Grayson was still pretty sharp today, but it appears that this cycle may have peaked yesterday. While he was with me at the grocery store this evening he had some difficulty. His task when the two of us go to the store is to follow me and push the cart. Today he couldn't seem to keep two hands on the cart and he kept trying to drive it with one hand. Steering is a real problem when only using one hand. Several times I had to remind him to use both hands – then further remind him to space his hands far apart as placing both hands on the cart next to each other does not help the steering problem! Several times I asked him to come along, and he left the cart and came up to me. He just had difficulty with some concepts that were no problem yesterday.

He also had difficulty sitting down to eat today. Food is usually a great motivator for Grayson, but today he just couldn't focus.

We'll see what opportunities and challenges tomorrow brings!
