Dear family and friends
26 years ago today Grayson was born. It was an exciting and terrifying day – exciting because of the new baby, and terrifying because 12 hours after he was born we were told he had a congenital heart defect that was "not compatible with life". Fortunately the initial diagnosis was incorrect, but we vowed to take care of this young life as long as necessary. Who would have guessed that we would still be at it after 26 years!
Grayson still makes us smile, but in ways quite different than 25 years ago, and also different than 25 months ago. We are blessed.
