Dear family and friends
5,000,000 households were out of power today from San Diego, CA to Yuma, AZ. It was almost like Grayson was "on the grid" as he was mostly out of juice today also.
Grayson was particularly challenged today. He was slow to respond, slow to react and had extreme difficulty executing tasks that he normally would take in stride. I don't know if it was the heat, dehydration, or just one of those days. In Grayson's case, with no mental or emotional reserve, an off day could look a bit like a shut down. You and I can function by pushing through it. He is no longer capable of doing so.
In any event, he went to bed with little fuss and stayed put tonight. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day after a refreshing night's sleep! Hopefully the folks suffering 110°+ heat in inland California and Arizona will get some energy from the grid to ease their discomfort also.
