Day 353 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

Grayson had a good day today. When he arrived home from the clinic he had a snack of cut fruit, then we did some chores. After the chores we started to get ready for the quarterly Court of Honor of our Troop 125. Grayson had been invited as a special guest.

The Court of Honor was fun. Many of the adults and leaders knew Grayson from his years in the troop as a youth and as an adult, as he was still involved up until his incident last year. Grayson was a bit on edge due to the level of energy in the room, but he did well. He thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and the desert, and he was quite patient until the end. We managed to hang on and stay through the retirement of the colors.

When we arrived back home, Grayson was pretty well done. He took his meds, played Wii for a few minutes then it was time to get ready for bed. After the routine of getting ready for bed, he lay down with a book and never got up. He was snuggled in his covers and going to sleep when Regina checked in on him.

It was a full day and a good day!
