Day 782 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

Grayson had a bit of a rough day today. I say a "bit" because on one hand he was very alert. On the other he was unable to focus or to do some the things he usually does.

He had one of his favorite instructors from Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra today. He just couldn't seem to follow instructions, especially when it came to keeping himself in control by turning to reduce speed. He did a few good parallel turns but he just wanted to point his skis forward and barrel down the hill. His lead instructor, one of his favorites, put a belt and straps on him so she could keep him from running away. Then to my surprise, she took him to more challenging terrain. The other instructor skied right next to him and held his hand to steer. With one instructor behind applying the brakes and one next to him steering, he did really well. He actually went down Broadway as the last run of the day.

On a day that was a bit rough we had a great finish!

Pax!

Brant
