Dear family and friends,
Twenty two years ago today our sweet Lauren was born and Brant and I began the wild and wonderful journey of raising a daughter. After two boys, she added a new smile and giggle to the family dynamic.
Looking back now, it is easy to see that each of our children was born with their own temperament, learning style, and unique set of gifts. As a family we have shared so much joy together as well as our fair share of tears along the path to adulthood (theirs and ours). It is quite humbling to realize that there was no way to anticipate just where our journey would take us or where it will take us in the future. It's a good thing that we trust that God has a plan for us.
We are so thankful to have been blessed with our three children - Grayson, Austin and Lauren. We confess that, as parents we have not always chosen the perfect path and are grateful for their forgiveness. We are proud of how they are maturing and treasure the little time we have together, though it can never be enough.
With a look to the future we pray that, with God's help, we will all "do our best". To love and support each other, to do God's will, and each day to wisely use the gifts and talents that have been given to us.
Grace and peace,
Regina
P.S. Happy Birthday, Lauren. May this be the start of your best year yet. We all miss you and love you.
Oh, Regina this is so beautifully said and is the prayer of every parent. You are so blessed even in the challenges that you face on a daily basis. It is such a gift to be able to have you all share your lives with all those of us in the Salem community. Steve and Mary
