Day 887 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

We're in Mammoth! Grayson and I left LA late this afternoon and drove to the slopes. It was sure weird leaving 80° LA for a ski trip! We changed out of our shorts in Bishop just before the final pull up the hill. It is also warm here - 45° when we arrived around 9:00 PM. Mammoth announced that they will only remain open until Memorial Day this year because of the lack of snow and warm temperatures. I'm amazed that they can keep operations going that long!

The reason that we are here is the annual Springtacular presented by Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra. This is a 4-day ski and snowboard event for the cognitively challenged – lots of time on the snow and lots of instructors. If you have been following, last year Grayson and I came up and had a ball. This year we are doing it again!
