Day 890 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

Today was an early day for Grayson and also a big day!

We arrived at the Mammoth Mountain Center at 8:30 this morning (keeping in mind that Grayson normally gets up at 9:30!) At 9:00 sharp he was one of two that were asked to present the colors for the opening ceremony. Why Grayson? Because he is an Eagle Scout, of course! Here is a picture of him posting the California flag.

Grayson skied all morning and afternoon with instructors that he has had before – except one. That one made instant friends because he had skittles in his pocket! When Grayson needed a little motivation…

Grayson did very well again today. As you might imagine, the videos I posted the last two days are the "best of" Grayson and omit the places where Grayson is caught in his cognitive quagmire. It takes a special person – instructor – to talk, coax, or cajole Grayson forward when he gets stuck. Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra seems to have the knack for finding just the right people!

Grayson has been asleep for over two hours – my turn! Early mornings up here for Grayson!

Pax!

Brant
