Dear family and friends,
Grayson had a nice, "normal" day.
This evening he helped prepare dinner and did two loads of laundry. He completed his therapeutic home program and then went for a walk. While on his walk he took out the trash, checked his mail and read a letter from his sister. After his walk he returned to his apartment and made brownies. While they were in the oven he read the new National Geographic I brought him this weekend. When he was ready for bed, his RA found him looking at all the pictures of family and friends that are posted on his bulletin board and wall.
When I called this evening he was already snuggled in bed with the light off. We exchanged our messages of love and because both Austin and Lauren were home this evening, they, too, shared a few minutes on the phone. These few minutes made my day.
While this simple, ordinary day is facilitated with a caring RA cueing the sequence of his activities, it is in dramatic contrast to where we were six months ago.
God is gracious in many ways and we give him thanks.
Grace and peace,
Regina
Hi Regina:
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of "Good night John Boy", "Good night Grandpa".... ;-)
Don't you just love it when the simple and ordinary are in play, and flow so smoothly!
I'm sure glad that the Lord is the coach through all of our days.
In Him,
Doug
