Day 235 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

Grayson had a relatively normal day at the residence today. He arrived back from the clinic at 3:30. Instead of his usual rest period, he tackled one of his cleaning chores first at the suggestion of his residential assistant (RA). Today he cleaned the bathroom counter and shower. After this, he took his rest break and watched TV for 30 minutes.

After his break he started dinner prep under the guidance of his RA. Dinner was an easy fix tonight, so he had dinner and cleaned up by 5:00.

After dinner he showered, changed into clean clothes, then took out the trash and picked up the mail. He stopped by the office of his residential treatment coordinator for a treat before going back to the apartment.

Back at the apartment he did his therapeutic home program (THP) and this activity went well. After the THPs, he was encouraged to do some of his exercises, but Grayson was not interested. He read his new comic book for 30 minutes, before getting ready for bed. His RA told us he was chuckling the whole time he was reading!

When I spoke with him at 8:15, he was in bed and listening to A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
