Day 246 – Grayson’s Journey

Dear family and friends

Today was another good day for Grayson. When he returned from the clinic to the residence, he rested for 30 minutes before beginning his therapeutic home program (THP). Today his THPs covered three areas – orientation (what is your address and phone number, who is the president, what is the day, date and time); situation (what would you do if…) and cognitive (coal, brownie, toast and vanilla ice cream – which is the darkest?) This one became progressively harder (Which was the third item?) He did well on all of his THPs tonight.

He was calm today and did quite well with his chores and dinner preparation. After dinner Grayson and his residential assistant took out the trash, retrieved the mail and took Grayson's roommate along for a long stroll. They stopped by his residential treatment coordinator's office so she could see Grayson's new haircut – it certainly is short, but still cute!

When I talked to Grayson tonight, he was getting ready for bed. At 7:30 he was putting on his pajamas and was ready to lie down for the night. Sweet dreams, Grayson!

One last item – to his Aunt Julie on her birthday, a message from Grayson!

Pax!

Brant
