Dear family and friends
Today was another quiet day for Grayson. He slept in this morning (until 8:00 AM – late for Grayson) before getting up and starting his day with breakfast. Today he did his cleaning chores (bathroom on Sunday and Monday) as well as preparing both lunch and dinner. He did his therapeutic home program, and did quite well on all of his questions. His behavior was again excellent – I'm hoping that this pattern continues to hold!
Grayson made brownies today, under the supervision of his residential assistant (RA). This treat was enjoyed in the afternoon as well as after dinner!
Regina and I did not travel to Bakersfield today – we needed to spend some additional time working in Grayson's room. We just about have it cleaned out, and are almost ready for some repair work, painting and carpet cleaning. This is the first time since Grayson went to Bakersfield that we have not joined him at least once on the weekend. Talk about guilt! Fortunately we know that we are just preparing for the next phase of the journey.
